Others will actually find it harder, as there will be no one else in the room to keep them under control.

With used auction cars, it is absolutely vital to carry out a proper inspection of the vehicle before you make any bid. If you do not have the necessary mechanical knowledge, make sure you take along someone who does. Anyone with experience in the motor trade will know exactly where to look for common cases of cover up. Where experienced dealers have put vehicles into auction, there will often be cosmetic enhancements covering up basic mechanical flaws.

The other crucially important factor to bear in mind is your own ability to handle the auction situation. Not everyone handles it well. If you are the sort of person who is prone to get caught up in the excitement, you would be well advised to make one prior visit to the auction room to get a feel for how the auction takes place before you do any bidding. Make sure you have an exact figure, in writing, at which you will cease bidding. Stick to these figures no matter what, as you will need to build up your discipline. If you can choose from a wide range of models, and be absolutely disciplined in the amount you bid, you will be able to pick up some good bargains of used auction cars.
